The Possibility Ocean Summit, held on March 18, 2025, convened business leaders, scientists, investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurs from 23 U.S. states and 12 countries for a hybrid event exploring how ocean observation and data innovation can fuel economic growth, sustainability, and climate resilience.

Possibility Ocean, an initiative to bridge ocean data, commerce, and policy, will host its inaugural hybrid summit on March 18, 2025. The event will convene business leaders, scientists, funders, and advocates through a virtual gathering and in-person sessions in Newport, RI, and Berkeley, CA, exploring how ocean observation can drive sustainable economic growth and climate resilience.

Our inaugural Possibility Ocean Summit is three weeks away on March 18, from 1-4 pm ET! We’re excited to gather business leaders, ocean data pioneers, and cross-sector innovators to unlock the economic potential of ocean data for the good of businesses and the planet.

While scientists, policymakers, and inventors bring vital expertise and groundbreaking technologies, it’s design that translates these insights into meaningful, impactful solutions. Possibility Ocean is where design meets the ocean, using data, technology, and creativity to forge a new narrative that sees our oceans not just as resources to be managed, but as partners in our shared future.
